Art Nouveau Silver-Plated Centrepiece With a Glass... Lot n° 5

Monumental art nouveau centrepiece depicting a female figure with a child reaching out to her with his hand, standing next to a cattail. The statue stands on four stylised feet and the base holds four flower blossoms. The hand-cut and hand-engraved glass bowl decorated with stylised leaves and flower blossoms sits on the metallic statue and is attached to it by a screw cap. What is interesting about the composition is the female's face expression and body posture in regards to the toddler. This centrepiece is in great condition; the glass bowl has no chips, no cracks, no scratches. A little piece of the silver coating is chipped off on the back of the left shoulder of the statue. You might see some partial discolouration that appear on the silver due to oxidative processes and age of the piece.
