A Max Emmanuel 'Mosanic' (German), a Faience pottery model of a frog 1895-1917, inscribed 'Mosanic 21' Modelled as a frog seated sheltering under a lily pad, painted with flora and fauna decorative motifs, set with glass eyes, on a shaped integral base 26cm high Purchased by the vendor from Constance Stobo There are some spec inclusions and open bubbles to the glaze from the firing process - how it was made. The underside of the base has some of the glaze ground away. There are a few small flakes to the glaze, one on his nose, and on the edges with some anomalies in the painting on the edge of the lily pad.
