Robert Thompson (British 1876-1955), a 'Mouseman' carved and painted oak wall plaque for Haileybury School c.1932/3, signed with a carved mouse in profile The shield form carved with winged hearts (Haileybury school badge) and an open book inscribed in Latin "Sursum Corda" (Lift up your Hearts), painted in black, silver, red and gold 26.5 cm high, 13 cm wide Small Chips to the top left and right corners on the front of the shield and some to the back of the pointed part of the shield. Some small losses to the black colour on the front and edges of the raised carved elements. Some losses and fading to colour on the ribbon at the top part. Some indistinct scratched letters(?) on the back. Some rubbing to other colours.
