Vulcan (Allegory of Fire), within a tondo fresco laid on canvas, without frame 74 x 73.5 cm PROVENANCE Palazzo Torlonia, Rome, until about 1900; bought by the Neapolitan merchant Francesco Tancredi and with him until 1902-1903; arrived in the collection of the Countess Amalia Canonica in the 1920s and by inheritance to the current owners.
