Leuven: lot of ca. 56 sheets. Various sizes, various techniques. 1. "De Overwinning voor Leuven op de 12den augustus 1831" (Amsterdam, Gebroeders van Arum, 1831). Rare coloured lithograph by Willem Hendrik Arum van Hoogkamer after Johannes Jelgerhuis showing the Battle of Leuven, a battle of the Ten Days' Campaign during the Belgian Revolution. The scene represents the moment that Lord William Russell anounced to the winning Prince William II that a French army of 70,000 under Marshal Gérard had crossed the border to aid the Belgians. The information on the plate corresponds with the "Uitgeversprospectus van de twee platen", since it indicates the Amsterdam house of van Arums as publishers. Ref. Atlas van Stolk 7081. - 2. 27 pl. on the City Hall by Benoist, Canelle, Fourmois, Turgis, Rouargue, Smith, a.o. - 3. 12 town views of Leuven, 3 rare views by Hoolans and 1 from Spanoghes "Schouwburg der Nederlanden". - 4. 2 sm. town plans - 5. 4 castle views from Ph. de Cantillon's "Vermakelykheden van Brabant en deszelfs onderhoorige landen". - 6. 11 church views of S.
