"Totius Europae littora novissime edita. Pascaert vertoonende alle de see-custen van Europa". Amsterdam F. De Wit [1675] Engr., 49 x 88 cm, very nicely hand-coloured (some foxing). Framed. Sea chart oriented to the west, with coats of arms and rhumb lines roughly inspired by the early portolan charts. It is striking how de Wit charted the eastern half of the Mediterranean as a double map layer in North Africa. The map occurred in de Wit's "Orbis Maritimis ofte Zee-Atlas", but was also bound within his atlas of geographical maps. Ref. Koeman IV, M Wit 1.
