In Ancient India, Tortoise is a spiritual symbol of longevity having a lifespan of about ten thousand years. It is regarded as a great source of creativity in Tibetan Buddhism. It is generally present in every sacred and non-sacred place for good luck and charm. In Feng Shui there are mainly four celestial animals that are greatly valued, namely, Green Dragon, Red Phoenix, White Tiger and Tortoise. The value of a tortoise depends on its direction of placement. If it is placed at the back of the house, it is symbolic of protection and energy strengthening. If the tortoise statue is placed facing the front door of the house, it help in bringing stability and protection from evils in life.
