Large wooden cross covered with gilded and embossed copper. It comes with its node and the figure of Christ affixed to it. Limoges. France or Spain. Romanesque. 13th century. On the front, in the centre, is the figure of Christ crucified, with gilt residue, which had been decorated with champlevé enamels. On both sides, according to the typical depiction of the Calvary, are two affixed "poupées", one of Mary and the other of Saint John, whose tunic is still coloured with some slight turquoise and red toned residue. On the upper part of the shaft the figure of God the Father is affixed, and on the lower part, possibly an angel. Embellished with cabochons made from coloured stones, turquoise, and pâte de verre. On the back, in the centre, is an embossed cross. 58 x 25 cm. Slight flaws, such as the hands on the figure of Christ.
