The Virgin supporting the upper part of the corpse and kissing his face. Behind Mary Magdadene accompanied by a woman in mourning. The figures opposite balancing the composition, John holding Christ's left hand, The city of Jerusalem with a mountain-range portrayed in the background. The sky rendered in gold. Nadelholz, Eitempera auf Kreidegrund, partielle Vergoldung. 28,5 x 104 cm. Am linken Rand steht der geoeffnete Sarkophag. Mittig liegt der tote Leib Christi auf einem rosafarbenem Stein. Die Gottesmutter haelt seinen Kopf mit seinen Haenden umfangen. Im Hintergrund trauert Maria Magdalena und eine weibliche Figur. Johannes kuesst die linke Hand Christi. Nikodemus und Joseph von Arimathaea schliessen sich rechts von ihm an. Am rechten Rand erscheint Golgatha mit den Gebeinen Adams. Kleinere Retuschen.
