An 18th century Continental shagreen covered box Of lightly domed hinged rounded rectangular form, the interior of brass construction, mounted to the exterior with a scrolling shell form silver clasp, the reverse with silver hinge. 16 cm wide. Some fading/staining, some splits, some shagreen losses, general wear.
