‡ AN INDIAN DAGGER (KHANJAR), 19TH CENTURY with slightly curved double-edged blade of watered steel, decorated with a panel of gold koftgari on each side of the forte, glass hilt of characteristic form, decorated with lotus flowers and foliage in low relief (cracked at the base), in its wooden scabbard covered with blue velvet, fitted with silver gilt locket and chape each decorated with openwork designs of flowers and foliage, the former with a small suspension loop 24.0 cm; 9 ½ in blade
