A Parisian Edwardian Style Brooch

On 30 September 2021, by Claire Papon

Although not period, this platinum pendant brooch set with antique cushion- and round-cut diamonds and a diamond drop (weight 18.59 g) is in the "garland" or Edwardian style (after King Edward VII of England, who reigned from 1901 to 1910).

The piece here, with an estimate of €3,000/5,000, is presented in a shaped case signed "Debacq Leyrt & Cie à Paris", and will be up for sale in room 3 at Drouot, October 8, with Maison R & C. In addition, a platinum ring with an antique cushion-cut diamond (8.50 ct) flanked by two baguettes, specially commissioned around 1951 from Van Cleef & Arpels, is estimated for €50,000/70,000.
