Natif de Mouscron, mais de parents français, il s'en amuse: «Né à cheval entre la Belgique et la France, c'est pour ça que je marche les pieds écartés.»

In September, 2000, Raymond Devos poses on his property in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse. He jokes about being raised by French parents in the Belgian town of Mouscron: “I was born straddling Belgium and France, that is why I walk with my feet spread apart.”
