Très beau modèle d'une guitare de René
LACOTE à Paris c. 1835 avec sa marque au fer dorée sur la tête (2e marque) et deux étiquettes: «SOLD BY R. COCKS & C.IE MUSIC SELLERS LONDON» et «F. Sor».
Cocks était le revendeur anglais des grands luthiers français tels que Vuillaume et Lacote. La seconde étiquette porte le nom du plus célèbre guitariste de l'époque Fernando Sor. Caisse et manche en palissandre de Rio, table en épicéa, filets alternés ébène et ivoire. Rare et intéressant modèle de mécaniques breveté.
Diapason 630mm, Espacement au sillet 50mm.
Très bel état de restauration, prête à jouer. Etui rigide.

Very nice guitar by René Lacote in Paris c. 1835 with its golden brand signature ironed on the head (2nd brand) and two labels : "SOLD BY R. COCKS & C.IE MUSIC SELLERS LONDON" and "F.Sor".
Cocks was the english retailer of the great french luthiers such as Vuillaume and Lacote.
The second label wears the name of the most famous guitarist of that time, Fernando Sor.
Back in Brazilian Rosewood plate on spruce, sides in solid Brazilian Rosewood and neck , top in spruce, bindings in alternate ebony and ivory.
Rare and interesting patented machine heads. Scale length 630mm, nut width 50mm.
Very nice condition of renovation, ready to play. Solid case.
