MASAKAZU: A SMALL LACQUERED WOOD OKIMONO OF A DARUMA DOLL By Masakazu, signed Masakazu 正一 Japan, Yamada, Ise province, mid-19th century, Edo period (1615-1868) The netsuke-sized okimono well-carved, depicting a Daruma doll almost completely enveloped in his voluminous robe, his face with a stern expression, bushy brows, and large ears with finely detailed hair. His robes are covered in bright red lacquer. Signed to the base MASAKAZU. HEIGHT 4.1 cm Condition: Very good condition with minor wear.
