ARRAS 1767 - 1768 A pair of silver candlesticks and two silver bobèches with a polylobed base, the rims of the shaft and the rim of the spigot being embossed with ribs. Coat of arms surmounted by a knight's helmet engraved in the bowl. Master silversmith: Nicolas-Dominique COLLASSES dit DUPLESSIS, commissioned to make his masterpiece in 1756 (no reception date in Madame Nicole Cartier's book on Arras). Hallmarks: repunched with wild boar, including on unmarked bobèches Weight: 1001 g - height without wick: 26.3 cm - diameter of foot: 14.5 cm Condition: shaft to be straightened, tears on unmarked wicks
