"Répertoir [sic] de cuisinne [sic]". 1st half 19th c. In-4° : [2]-50-[86 bl.]-[3] pp. (slight stain in lower margin) + 15 flyleafs cons. in upper gusset. Large flap, smooth spine (slight wear, a few stains). Gourmet recipes for apple fritters, meringues, brioches, cinnamon waffles, etc., as well as "dindon à la gellée", "pâté de pigeons", leg of mutton à la royale, spit-roasted stuffed carp... With a few nota bene giving advice on how to prepare the dishes. The flyleaves contain recipes for veal and beef juices, "podding commun", "pour faire du verjus de pomme d'amour", and some in Dutch: "om nonnen vesten te backen", "om een suster te backent", "om sirop van limonade te maecken", etc. According to a ms. note in pencil on the back cover, this directory was intended for the Ursuline nuns of Saint-Trond.
