A Roman bronze statuette of a torch-bearing Cupid, 2nd - 3rd century A.D. Cupid in youthful form with boyish hair floating to the left. He holds a torch in his raised right hand, his broken left hand pointing downwards, his right leg extending far back. The stumps of the broken wings on his back, the feet also broken off. Bronze sculpture of good quality with finely worked anatomical details. Mounted on a modern marble base with column. Height without column 6.2 cm, with column 15.5 cm. Condition: II -
