1939 BMW Type 327 SPORT CABRIOLET Serial number : 74003 Exceptional car Good condition Collector's grey card 150 000 / 200 000 Issued from the 326 sedan of 1936, the BMW 327 was born one year after its big sister and will be produced in 1 306 examples until 1955. With a very aerodynamic design, the body of the 327 is based on a chassis-frame designed by Fritz Fiedler, German engineer and car designer. The braking, the front suspension and the gearbox were taken from the 326 because they were appreciated by the brand's customers. Under the hood, the German manufacturer came to house the six-cylinder 2.0L M78, also proven and that will be found in other manufacturers until the 50s. Fueled by two Solex carburetors, the M78 will develop 55 horsepower to take the 327 to 125 km/h. The 327 was first released as a convertible, then as a coupe, and it won hearts.
