2 L.A.S., [1961]-1965, [to Louis ARAGON]; 2 pages in-4 each at his address. Château l'Arc, Rousset-sur-Arc July 21 [1961]. He asks him to publish in Les Lettres Françaises an article he has just written "against those people who publish echoes - and other kinds of indiscretion on private life (Parinaud, etc.) [...] from time to time I believe that one has the right and the duty to publicly justify oneself"... Château de la Vallée, Saint-Cast February 16, 1965. He is saddened to read in Les Lettres Françaises "this stupid article about my exhibition, inflammatory, acidic, written by a boy who has trouble repressing some secret jealousies"; he would have preferred that there was no article: "Indifference is better than smallness. [...] This gentleman, who 20 years ago ignored Picasso, adulated Aïspiri, preferring the company of some snobs to Particule, suddenly animated by a primary communism, reproaches me in the end for not having committed suicide earlier"... We join a postcard a.s. to the same by Pierre Bergé and B. Buffet (1958).
