- GILBERT (Nicolas): Complete works with the author's corrections and variants accompanied by literary and historical notes. Paris, Dalibon, 1823; in 8°, [4]-XVI-371pp, blond speckled calf, spine with decorated faux-nerves, red morocco title-piece, floral lace on the boards. Binding of the period. First complete edition of Gilbert's works. This poet was put forward from 1819 by the romantics. Edition decorated with a portrait of the author in frontispiece, 4 figures out of text engraved by Desenne and a fac simile of writing on page 242. Vicaire III, 977-978 (some foxing). A copy of the same edition, bound in contemporary decorated green half calf (without the fac simile) and a copy of the 1797 (year V) edition by Des Essarts, contemporary decorated blond calf (without the portrait) are enclosed.
