Louis SUE (after a drawing by) & André GROULT (1884 - 1967) Double bed in varnished mahogany with headboard and footboard with a rectangular body slightly curved in the upper part and decorated with a frieze of openwork crosses surmounted by two baskets of flowers framed by tasselled cords on the side jambs (chips and missing veneer). Corner legs of square section slightly grooved A custom-made mattress and a box spring are attached. Stamped on one of the crossbars. H. 76 cm - Size of the bed : L. 190 cm - L. 100 cm History: the design of this set was made by Louis Süe for a chair model in 1912. Louis Süe was then working as a collaborator of André Groult, this model was indifferently presented under the name of Süe or Groult.
