Paris, Chaix et Garnier, 1891, in-4 bound half-chagrined with corners, spine ribbed and decorated with fleurons, gilt head, some rubbing. Illustrated with tables and 68 maps and engravings including 41 hors-texte plates of which 33 in color. Beautiful autograph sending from the author to Mr. Carnot, President of the French Republic (from 1887 to his death in 1894).
