Stereoscopy on cardboard 1870/1890
Important lot of one hundred and nine (109) stereoscopic views mounted on cardboard including sixty-six (66) views brought back from the trip to the Holy Land of the abbot Curtet (Jerusalem Nazareth, Bethlehem...) in 1890 and captioned in ink by him on the back, older views of Paris (Exhibition 1878), Lyon, Geneva, Alps, artist's studios (2) a print from the same studio in a close framing but presenting a different view, offered at the sale photographs of Maîtres Binoche et Giquello, on April 17, 2013, under No. 54 and described as: "Cercle d'Ingres, Atelier de Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres Paris circa 1855 (title taken from a handwritten caption on the mount of the image) and embellished in the catalog with the statement "this print is the only view known to date of the painter's studio"...
