Iran, Safavid art, 16th century Persian manuscript on gold sanded paper, 12ll. per page in nasta'liq, in black ink, in two columns, interrupted by illuminated cartouches, inscribed with title in red ink, margins decorated in gold, salmon with motifs of perched birds or olive green with motifs of hunting animals.
