SOUPLY (Émile) / JASINSKI (Iris). File containing dozens of sketches, drawings, plans and other documents pertaining to the work of Emile Souply in 1982 and 1983. Drawings of necklaces, bracelets, mirrors, trestles, ceiling lights, tables, shelves... Some orders, such as the hanging decoration of the counter room of the CGER in Brussels. Emile Souply (1933-2013), called "Snowy" by his friends, was born in Charleroi and trained at the goldsmith and brassware workshop of the École des Métiers d'art de Maredsous. Throughout his career, his work will be in perpetual motion between goldsmithing, design furniture, creative jewelry, sculpture, architecture and teaching. His credo: to seek poetic solutions, necessarily offbeat, to design "art objects" from the excesses of industrialization and functionalism./ "La Maison". Monthly magazine of architecture of decoration and domestic art. N° 10. Brux, 1966, 4°, br. Includes at the end of the volume, an article about the Iris Jasinski exhibition at the Galerie L'Angle aigu in Brussels. 8 silver prints of various works of Iris Jasinski are attached. Nice set.
