Guenée (1717-1803) wrote several works, the best known of which is Lettres de quelques Juifs (...) à M. de Voltaire, published in Paris in 1769. This work, reprinted several times, has been translated into English and other languages. The Jews are seen as a savage people who copulate with animals and feed on human flesh: a deicidal people.
