Albert Joseph Pénot was a student of Gabriel Ferrier at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He is best known for his female nudes with sensual lines enhanced by hazy atmospheres and areas of chiaroscuro. He is also specifically recognized for his female themes centered on fantasy or witchcraft.
