Paris, Jean Paslé, 1641. 2 parts in one volume in-12, blond calf, double gilt fillet, spine decorated (Binding of the time). First edition of this poem celebrating the birth of the future Sun King, composed by an unknown Breton poet. It is decorated with an allegorical frontispiece engraved on copperplate with the arms of the cardinal of Richelieu, to whom Du Bois-Hus dedicated his book and for whom he composed a very long panegyric speech which occupies the first 80 pages. Some old reading marks. Old manuscript bookplate hidden by a paper strip at the bottom of the frontispiece. Small wetness on the edge of the last fifteen leaves. Hinges and covers restored.
