Cavalry rifle of the Manufacture of Versailles, model 1793, manufacture 1800-1801. Polished glazed barrel, octagonal with five sides with the thunder ending slightly tromblonné, gauge 14 mm, strong stripes, barrel in perfect state, marking "RF" at the level of the basin. Length 40,7 cm and 46 cm with the tail of breech. Line of sight constituted by two lines engraved one with the thunder and the other with the mouth; with the thunder, punch "R4" surmounted of the cap phrygian, corresponding to the inspector of the second division. Flintlock lock marked in cursive letters "Manufre - Versailles", flat body, swan neck hammer, battery with retroussis, brass pan with fireguard. Lock marked "B2" surmounted by the phrygian bonnet, corresponding to the controller Daniel BOUYSSAVY, AN IX. Walnut frame with long barrel rising to the muzzle, small cheekpiece at the stock, marked "V", for verified and "H1-4" at the heel. Brass fittings and buttplate, later iron top and screws. One-piece trigger guard and trigger guard, earlier repair at second screw location. Moulded, pinned ramrod holders, iron ramrod with strong head. Total length 78,8 cm. Consulate period. SUP.
