Very important and magnificent silk GHOUM carpet, (Iran), Shah's time, middle of the 20th century Dimensions : 620 x 420cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundation. Density of 560 000 knots in a square meter. On a pinkish beige field, is arranged a paving, composed of a multitude of medallions with frames "molded" old gold, poly-lobed. The medallions are ivory decorated with multicolored flower bouquet. They are interspersed with interlacing "molded" with floral ornaments. Two borders old gold trellis brick stylized flowers ivory, highlighted with eight bands ivory and blue garlands of flowers, frame the main border, pink beige, decorated with leafy branches supporting majestic floral compositions ivory, emerging in the middle of flowering stems in polychrome.
