Sublime TEHRAN carpet (Persia), woven around 1870
Dimensions : 290 x 210cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
A turquoise field supports a very rich decoration where fauna and flora of all kinds share the star. In the middle of stems and scrolls with multiple polychrome flowers frolic deer, birds, felines and others. Tchis", clouds of Chinese inspiration, complete the whole. Four counter borders with small flowers frame the main sky blue border, where stylized stems support sublime multicolored flowers.
