SINO-HEREKÉ carpet (China), end of the 20th century Dimensions : 90 x 63cm. Technical characteristics : silk velvet on silk foundation. A turquoise mihrab, richly decorated with a flowering vase and symbolic plant suspension where two birds are frolicking, supports, thanks to two columns with zoomorphic capitals, an ivory arabesque vault, with floral stems and birds. The main ivory border with a multitude of multicolored birds fluttering in the middle of floral scrolls is flanked by two counter-borders with polychrome twisted "molding". Exterior ivory border with a semis of flowers in relief. Various highlights. Great poetry.
