On the back a pencil annotation attributes the copy to Pietro Nardi (1869)

After the composition of Fran Angelico adorning an ancient reliquary tabernacle kept in Florence at the San Marco convent (Cf. Catalogue of the exhibition Beato Angelico. L'alba del Rinascimento, n°5, pp. 156 & 157 - Rome, Musei Capitolini 2009).
