BESNARD Louise (Madam) Paris 1816 - after 1877 Portrait of a young woman with a brown headdress in a black dress and white collar on a brown background. Miniature of oval form (Small gaps) Signed lower right. H. 9,5 - L. 7,5 cm Gilded bronze frame surmounted by a garland of leaves and bunches of vines on the left and leaves and flowers on the right. Pupil of Madame Aimée - Zoé de Mirbel (1796 - 1849) Louise Besnard, née Vaillant, exhibited at the Salon from 1845 to 1867 and obtained a third class medal at those of 1847 and 1859 (Cf.
