Throughout 2013, the weekly newspaper of Dupuis Editions organizes its "Spirou Tour", stopping in, among other places, Liege, Brussels, Paris, Switzerland, Bordeaux and Brittany. On the front page of n° 3944 of November 13, under the direction of Jean-Claude Fournier, the little people of this land of legends start a joyful farandole. In the shadow of the menhirs, Spip, Fantasio, Spirou and Bizu observe the scene. In the background, a beautiful bluish night sky integrates the horizontal stripes and the hermine pattern of the "Gwenn ha du", the famous Breton flag.
For this tribute to my Brittany, all my "little people" dance a gavotte. I was a little disappointed by the printing of the cover of Spirou. On the original, the Breton flag appears more clearly, it is discreet, but it appears. On the newspaper, it has almost disappeared. The illustration is treated with watercolor and Indian ink. J.-C.F.
