Pair of silver candlesticks, resting on a base with contours and nets on which take place four broad clasps composed of a rocaille cartouche surrounded by acanthus leaves, the center of one engraved with coat of arms under a column of marquis. The bell is chiseled channels on a background amati. The shaft and the binet, molded, are decorated with large acanthus leaves, scrolls and rocaille. Traces of coat of arms crossed out. Master goldsmith GBV Gabrielle BIDARD (widow of Claude ROYSARD), took over the workshop of her late husband in 1753. Rennes, 1753 - 1754, letter F. Height : 22,5 cm - Weight : 1 107,66 g Very beautiful Parisian model, which finds here a provincial interpretation.
