Gold and silver hiramaki-e lacquer picnic set, structure in two octagonal parts to hold superimposed containers, on one side an octagonal box, an octagonal sake gourd, and an octagonal covered dish, on the other side a tall octagonal box with four compartments, and a last box above, the whole bearing a decoration of phoenix and branches of various flowers (of different seasons: prunus, orchid, peony, chrysanthemum, etc.) on a nashiji-type background, red lacquered inside, metal handle.
