MEISSEN, hard porcelain cup and saucer, cup with two rocaille handles, secondary decoration of polychrome flowers, main decoration of polychrome hunting scene, mark "AR" in blue underglaze on the back of the cup and saucer, late 18th/early 19th century Restorations to the openwork support of the cup, and to the lid, Ht cup 11cm, diam saucer. 14.5cm Observation The mark "AR" in blue underglaze was used at the beginning of Meissen in 1823 for Augustus Rex, the cup has a mid 18th century shape, and therefore it is possible that the mark is apographic.
