NASA. LARGE FORMAT. HUBBLE TELESCOPE. Superb galaxy seen here by the Hubble Space Telescope. This is the galaxy of the Sextan constellation. Resembling a waterfall, this galaxy seems to have many young stars, especially in its lower part, which creates a striking blue haze and gives the impression that stars are falling "from above". The blue color indicates that the stars we see are hot - some with temperatures exceeding 6 times that of our Sun. We know that cooler stars appear redder to our eyes, and hotter stars appear bluer. Since the mass and surface temperature of a star, and thus its color, are related, heavier stars are able to "burn" at higher temperatures, giving a blue glow to their surface.Vintage chromogenic print. Numbering in the margin on the front. 60,4 X 60,4CM with margins.
