Alphonse Mucha Muse (Salon des Cent, XXth Exhibition), 1897 Lithograph on stone in color on fine wove paper Signed in the plate Size 39 x 29 cm The sheet bears the publisher's stamp and the lithograph is also authenticated by the dry stamp of the publisher, L'Imprimerie Chaix. REFERENCE : Small version of the lithograph referenced in the Ann Bridges catalog raisonné, "Alphonse Mucha: The Complete Graphic Works" (: Harmony, 1985), #A7 This lithograph was published by Les Maîtres de l'Affiche in the Imprimerie Chaix in 1897. It was part of this eponymous portfolio (plate #94) which represented the reproductions of the most beautiful illustrated posters of the great artists of the time. Very good condition, a small tear in the middle of the lower margin and small spots of light freckling in the left margin (see our last two photos taken in low light).
