Automatic Geneva - reference 166.0173 Steel city watch with automatic movement. - Steel cushion case, smooth bezel, fluted crown, screwed caseback. - Brushed silver dial, applied baguette hour markers highlighted in black, straight luminescent hands highlighted in black, right central second hand, date window at 3 o'clock. - Steel bracelet, steel folding clasp. (1181/215) Case, dial and movement signed. Movement: mechanical with automatic winding. Movement caliber 1010 - numbered 41.858.531 (circa 1978) Case numbered 166.0173 and 366 0832 Diameter: 36 mm - Length of the bracelet: 18 cm In the first half of the 1970s, the "watch bracelet", i.e., designed to be a single element, was a great success. The entire watch industry followed this trend, even the most prestigious manufacturers, with Audemars Piguet unveiling the Royal Oak in 1972 and Patek Philippe bringing out the Nautilus in 1976. Its very finely brushed silver dial has "baguette riveted" indexes with black thread. A similar model (with day indication) is in the Omega Museum in Biel under reference 3273 (page 481). Condition report: Good general condition, slight dial patina, wear scratches on the case, bracelet slightly distended at the lugs, the watch works at the time of the expertise, without guarantee of functioning over time, a service recommended.
