Claude Raillard is mentioned in Le Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français, Tardy, p. 543, He was Guild Master between 1662 and 1675 and died in Paris in 1708. The text indicates that "In 1665, he supplied a clock and a watch to Mazarin for 450 livres".
