In-12, [12] ff. 278 pp. in marbled fawn calf, spine with ornamented nerves, red title page, framed with cold fillet on the boards, gilt fillet on the boards, red edges (period binding). A good copy.
Posthumous first edition, procured by Fénelon's grand-nephew, Gabriel-Jacques de Salignac, marquis de La Mothe Fénelon (1688-1746) who signed the dedication letter to the Regent (Tchemerzine III, 227.)
