JAPAN - MEIJI period circa 1880: Album of twenty-five sheets containing 50 large colorized photos, titled (in English), pasted in full on the cardboard page, representing various views of Japan, genre scenes, small trades and characters. Views of Yokohama, Tokio, Nikko, Hakone, Otsu, Kioto, Yamashiro, Osaka, Suo, Nagasaki. The album with red lacquered wood covers, the front cover decorated with bone inlays of two characters in a landscape, the back cover with floral decoration in polychrome lacquer. Dim. photo : 20,5 x 27 cm - Dim. album : 27,5 x 35,5 cm Small accidents to the lacquer, freckles on the leaves, some pages detached and photos slightly yellowed.
