Klaus Guingand/Original work. Acrylic on canvas illustrating the shadow of the actor "Kirk Douglas". Signed by the artist and the model in 1995. TBE. 200 X 150 cm! The work is listed on the artist's website. Klaus Guingand (1962) is a French contemporary artist. Between 1987 and 2002 he created his famous work on the shadow by making international personalities pose, whose shadow he immortalizes on canvas. Each work is co-signed by the personality and is unique. Two hundred international personalities pose for him. During the year 1989, two shadows are presented in each program "Lunettes noires pour nuits blanches" of Thierry Ardisson on France 2. In 1995: Exhibition "100 shadows" at the Louvre in Paris, placed under the high patronage of Prime Minister Edouard Balladur. In May: Ombres exhibition during the Film Festival - Hotel Carlton - Cannes - France. In May: Ombres exhibition - at the Cirque d'Hiver - Paris. In June: auction of 70 of his works 'Ombres' for the benefit of the association Solidarité Sida. Guingand organizes this sale in partnership with TF1, Canal +, NRJ and Drouot. This sale is placed under the patronage of the Minister of Culture Philippe Douste-Blazy and the sponsorship of Claudia Schiffer, Carla Bruni and Peter Gabriel.
