LARGE SOFA WITH A TRIPLE EVOLUTION
Parisian work, around 1730.
Carved and gilded beech wood.
H. 100 cm W. 204 cm D. 63 cm
Wear and chips to the gilding.
It stands on eight curved legs with inverted console and
and "rollers". Decorated with large heart cartels on the top of the legs
on the top of the legs and on top of the backrest hangers.
The arm supports are raised by a cube.
The vast backrest is with bundles of rushes linked with a shoulder
decorated with a spandrel topped by a ball.
Superbly covered with a brocade " à la dentelle ", Regency style, with a
Regency style, copper satin background, gold decoration of a flower blooming
in lace ribbons.
