Parisian work, Louis XIV period, around 1700/1720.
Gilt brass, brown tortoiseshell and chased and gilt bronze decorations.

It rests on four feet in acanthus base and heel of foot
with square section, bordered by a lingotière with a frieze of foliage in
gilt bronze. The rectangular frame is based on a long
brass plate with stylized foliage and three gilded bronzes, in the
gilded bronzes, in the center a mask with head of woman and on each side
a lion's head.
The tray is with bronze lingotière: the top
presents a large box with a barrel bottom with a beautiful decoration
of garlands, foliage and in the center a wheel with spokes. On the side
side, a gilded brass case, between an inkwell with four penholders and a
and a powder case finely pierced with scrolls.
