35 France (region Auvergne / Rhône -Alpes) : An oval dish with moved edges in stanniferous earthenware painted in blue cameo of great fire. It is decorated, in its center, with a county coat of arms of azure with silver chevron, accompanied in chief by two silver stars and in point by a silver crescent. Although several families bear these same arms, it could be Philibert Bernard Albanel (Lyon 1719-1794) lord of Cessieu and treasurer of France in Grenoble. (see Antoine Lebel 2009, "French and Swiss coats of arms on 18th century china"). Period : second third of the 18th century. Size : 42.5 x 33 cm. Condition : Cracks, chips and visible scratches. (LL)
