~CARLO BUGATTI (1856-1940) Wall-mounted writing desk with flap, circa 1900, orientalist structure in stained wood, animated by a rich steel plant marquetry and calligraphies of Asian inspiration, detached twisted columns of embossed copper, embossed copper highlights, friezes in bone, ivory, wood and steel. The interior is fitted with drawers, a locker and a shelf covered with parchment (the shelf is probably not original parchment). A wall writing desk, c. 1900, stained wood structure, steel marquetry, embossed copper highlights, wood and steel ivory friezes. Interior lined with parchment.
